A non custodial wallet means BlockPay never has the ability to move, freeze, or access your funds — even in theory. Your private key is generated on your device, encrypted locally, and never transmitted to our servers.
Wallet generation happens client side. The seed phrase is shown to you once at setup, encrypted at rest behind your device passcode, and never leaves the wallet — not to BlockPay, not to a backup server, not to anyone.
Every transaction is signed locally on your device and broadcast directly to the relevant chain. BlockPay relays — we don't authorize, hold, or co sign. If our servers go offline tomorrow, your funds remain accessible from any compatible wallet.
Your seed phrase is the only way to recover the wallet. BlockPay cannot reset it, restore it, or recover lost funds. We provide guided backup at setup and best practice security tooling — the rest is sovereignty.
BlockPay LLC does not custody user funds. Users are solely responsible for securing their private keys and wallet access. Loss of your seed phrase results in permanent and irrecoverable loss of funds.
